Mustang Socks has been a long-standing client, initially operating with a basic website that only displayed products and relied on enquiry-based conversions. While they were also selling on marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart, heavy commission structures and limited brand control restricted their growth. After consulting with Think Technology Services, the decision was made to build a dedicated Shopify store to establish a direct-to-consumer channel. The team developed a complete e-commerce ecosystem by setting up the Shopify store, integrating secure payment gateways, delivery and logistics systems, and syncing the product catalogue with Meta for marketing campaigns. Products were systematically organised and categorised to improve user experience and discoverability.
Additionally, WhatsApp API integration was implemented to enhance customer communication and drive conversions. This enabled automated cart recovery messages, order confirmations, and real-time updates via WhatsApp notifications. Features such as auto-replies, personalised messaging, WhatsApp catalog integration, and a shared team inbox helped streamline customer interactions. Customisable chat widgets further improved engagement and made it easier for customers to connect directly with the brand. A structured user management system was also implemented to allow the Mustang team to efficiently manage operations. To ensure long-term scalability and smooth functioning, a technical maintenance framework was put in place for continuous updates and enhancements.
The major challenge was shifting from an enquiry-based model to a fully functional e-commerce platform while ensuring ease of use for both customers and the internal team. The existing setup lacked automation, proper categorisation, and scalability. Another challenge was reducing dependency on third-party marketplaces while building a strong independent online presence.
Integrating multiple systems such as payments, logistics, marketing tools, and real-time customer communication channels like WhatsApp without disrupting operations was also a key challenge.
