Structuring a Product-Heavy Website for a Lighting Solutions Brand

About Project:

The Hybec website was designed to showcase a wide range of indoor, outdoor, and architectural lighting products while positioning the brand as a complete lighting solutions provider. The focus of the project was to organise a large product catalogue, highlight product series, and present downloadable catalogues in a structured and accessible format. The website also includes key sections such as product listings, career opportunities, and company information, making it a comprehensive digital platform for both customers and stakeholders. Special attention was given to presenting multiple product categories and variations in a clean and navigable way, while ensuring the website reflects Hybec’s positioning as a modern lighting brand with a strong manufacturing presence.

Challenges:

One of the major challenges was managing and presenting a large volume of product data, including multiple categories, variations, and technical specifications, without making the website feel cluttered. Ensuring smooth navigation across product sections while maintaining clarity was critical. Another challenge was integrating downloadable catalogues and technical documents in a way that is easily accessible to users. Balancing visual appeal with performance was also important, as product-heavy websites with images and PDFs can affect loading speed. Additionally, maintaining a clean structure for sections like careers and company information alongside product content required careful planning.

Solutions:

A structured product architecture was implemented to categorise lighting products into clear and easy-to-navigate sections, improving usability and product discovery. Dedicated areas for catalogues and downloads were created, allowing users to access detailed product information efficiently. The design approach focused on clean layouts and consistent spacing to handle content density without overwhelming the user. Supporting sections such as careers and company information were integrated seamlessly to provide a complete brand experience. The final website delivers a balanced combination of product visibility, usability, and scalability, enabling Hybec to effectively present its offerings and support future product additions.
